Vinyl Flooring in Folkestone

Vinyl flooring installation has gained massive popularity recently due to some compelling features, such as durability, range of styles, affordability, and comfort. The use of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) in vinyl flooring makes it water-resistant, smooth, and stain-resistant.

Since 2007, Qflooring has been delivering its services for vinyl flooring in Folkestone and surrounding areas. We offer experienced vinyl flooring services for both domestic and commercial places.

Vinyl Flooring Types That We Offer

Our company offers expert services for various vinyl flooring types to cater for the variety of our customer requests.

LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank)

As the name suggests, it is designed in the shape of a classic wood plank but equipped with vinyl features. Our specialists at Qflooring are experienced in providing two fitting methods for LVP:

  • Glue-Down or stick-down LVP is bonded to the subfloor using a unique adhesive, providing more stability and durability to the floor.
  • Click or floating LVP utilise the more advanced method, which enables it to click together and float on the subfloor. It does not require any adhesive, making the installation and replacement more efficient.

LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tiles)

They are constructed using the same materials as LVP but differ in size. Instead of being in the form of long planks, they are designed in the shape of tiles. Qflooring LVTs come in two variations as LVPs – glue down and click.

Sheet Vinyl

Sheet vinyl is a cost-efficient choice compared to LVT and LVP. They are also softer and easily installed. However, to avoid any noticeable air gaps or flaws, you should consider our professional services. Sheet vinyl requires a more stable subfloor than LVT and LVP, but they are easy to clean up after a spill, making it a better choice for kitchens, basements and bathrooms.

FAQs

What is the ideal way to clean vinyl floors?

The best way to clean your vinyl floors is using a damp (not soaking wet) mop or sponge with a warm soap solution. We advise never to use steam to clean your vinyl floors, as the heat will soften the glue and damage the floors.

Can vinyl flooring be painted?

Yes, you can paint your vinyl flooring, but it needs to be at least one year old, and the polish or wax should be removed. However, the paint is not the permanent solution as vinyl flooring does not absorb it and tends to wear off quickly.

What is the lifespan of vinyl flooring?

The average lifespan of vinyl sheet flooring is between 10 to 20 years. The vinyl tiles and planks have a lifespan of around 15 to 20 years.

How long to wait before walking on newly installed vinyl flooring?

It is recommended to wait around 24 hours before walking or using your newly installed vinyl flooring.
